Thailand seems to have a rather expensive Visa on Arrival fee (2000 THB or ~61 USD or a rather whopping INR 4400) which doesn’t make those cheap tickets to Bangkok from India seem like much of a bargain.
Thankfully they seem to be providing a bit of a break on those fees for the next 2 months.
Between December 1, 2018, and January 31, 2019 tourists from 21 countries are exempt from paying the short term Thai Visa on Arrival (VOA) fee. The countries are listed below
- Papua New Guinea
- San Marino
- Saudi Arabia
These visas are available at 40 immigration points including international airports like Bangkok and Phuket. You can stay in Thailand for a maximum of 15 Days with this Visa. and short-term Visa on Arrivals cannot be extended.
